The Mayerson Center (Cincinnati) is involved in strategic investments in the community, promoting the ability of primary care and specialty medical services to identify, address, and ameliorate toxic stress that affects children in the community.
HRiA facilitated a rapid strategic planning process to engage diverse community leaders and stakeholders, including health care providers, in the development and implementation of a strategic plan and the formation of a city-wide coalition to promote child development in the Cincinnati area. The strategic plan included mission, vision, values, and goals, objectives, and strategies for three priority areas, including: (1) education and awareness; (2) advocacy and policy development; and (3) activities and program development. HRiA also developed support structures for implementation of the plan, and provided technical assistance and facilitation services to staff as the Mayerson Center became the backbone organization of a community-level, collective impact strategy.
