Cherryl Cooley is Director of Narrative Strategy in the Health and Racial Equity cluster at HRiA. She has done extensive coaching and consulting work in storytelling, branding and communications, user experience design, and content strategy for nonprofits, government agencies, corporations and private clients. Cherryl is a poet/playwright with two published single author volumes, wide publication in literary journals and anthologies and produced stageplays. In her Northern Virginia community, Cherryl chairs the Arts & Letters Committee as a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Prince William County Chapter, Inc. and is Social Media Chair for the Poetry Society of Virginia. She helps youth explore their creative voices as an adjudicator for DC-based Writopia Lab’s annual Scholastic Writing Awards.
