Mr. Murphy is a Clinician for the Helpline. He began his career in the human services field in 2004 as a community support specialist, helping adults with developmental disabilities live independent and fulfilling lives. He has been a volunteer call taker at San Francisco Suicide Hotline, providing crisis intervention and referrals. During his clinical training, Mr. Murphy interned at Tufts Medical Center’s Psychiatric Unit working with adults displaying symptoms of severe mental illness. For the last three years, Patrick has done in-home and outpatient behavioral therapy and coaching for parents of children with autism, ADHD, learning disorders, depression, and anxiety. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of California Berkeley and a Master of Social Work from Boston College.
