Allegheny County Health Department, Allegheny County, PA, Organizational Assessment and Development, Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Development, and Strategic Planning

HRiA worked with the new Director of Public Health to assess organizational structures, roles, and competencies; outline a plan for developing executive and management level leadership teams; define and recruit deputy positions; and provide leadership and management coaching and training to key leaders and bureaus. HRiA also facilitated the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and agency Strategic Plan, in addition to working with health department leadership on defining and creating the CHIP Coalition and defining and creating a multi-sector, local and nationally represented Population Health Strategy Group to provide ongoing vision, strategy, and best practices to encourage and promote public health innovation.
