Since 2013, Health Resource in Action (HRiA) has managed the MA CHTI (http://hriainstitute.org/) in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), Division of Wellness and Prevention to provide targeted professional in-person and web-based trainings, events, and webinars for individuals and teams working in public health. With subject matter experts, HRiA develops customized trainings, events, and webinars around core competencies with the goal of building and sustaining multi-sector partnerships; developing local and regional capacity to implement policy, systems, and environmental change strategies; and advancing health equity to improve and sustain population health at the local level and across Massachusetts. Through this partnership, HRiA provides (1) responsive project management, (2) proactive, customized trainings, events, and webinars focused on core skills and goals informed by MDPH criteria (3) marketing and communication services to promote the CHTI and (4) comprehensive evaluation services to continually inform quality improvement. In FY16, the CHTI executed 8 trainings and 9 webinars (17 total events) with attendees ranging from 40-150 per event, reaching a total of 670 people and an additional 500 views of the recorded webinars.
