The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) contracted with HRiA in 2017 to establish and support the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances. The Helpline is staffed by experienced and certified Screening & Information Specialists and Clinicians who are available 24/7 to help people struggling with substance use, as well as their families, friends, care providers, and other professionals to find information about substance use treatment and recovery support services available in Illinois. Our Specialists are available to help callers understand and identify their needs, find appropriate resources, and begin or continue their efforts toward recovery. IL Helpline services are available via telephone 24/7 in any language at 1833-234-6343.

Visitors to the Helpline website can also find licensed and approved services on their own by clicking on “Get Help” and searching for programs and services in their area. The website will also be available in Spanish in fall 2018.
