In the April 2022 issue of Nature Medicine, commentary co-authored by HRiA staff members, Kim Lezak and Lindsay Redman-Rivera, explores grantmaking practices to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the biomedical workforce. The collaborative team of authors from the Health Research Alliance offer recommendations in demographic data collection and use, increasing the diversity of the applicant and awardee pools, and reducing bias in peer review.
