Alex joined HRiA in 2019 as a Training Associate under the P He is Trainer Associated for Health Resources in Action under the Opioid Overdose Training Prevention Program. Alex has been providing peer recovery services and supervision for many years in communities around Massachusetts, including Worcester and Springfield. As a person in long-term Recovery, Alex works as a Recovery Coach Supervisor for Multicultural Wellness Center Services, as a Mentor for the Hamden Sheriff Department, and as a Recovery Coach Trainer under BSAS. Alex advocates for peer coaching and is well-known in the community for his passionate approach to peer advocacy. He is Certified in CARC and MSPGS, and graduated from the Latino Behavior Health Workforce Program and was trained as a Recovery Coach in 2014. His pathway of recovery is spiritual he is committed to his church. Alexander Fidalgo was born in NY, raised in Puerto Rico and Tampa, Florida.
