Angelica Fontes is a Senior Manager of Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Capacity Building at HRiA. In this role, she provides violence prevention and intervention technical assistance to violence prevention grantees across Massachusetts. Angelica develops and implements trainings in collaboration with HRiA staff and sits on the project’s implementation team. Angelica has extensive experience in gun violence prevention, youth engagement, community organizing, and municipal advocacy. Before joining HRiA, Angelica worked in statewide gun violence prevention advocacy utilizing community organizing and assisting in legislative advocacy centered on addressing the root causes of gun violence. Other previous work includes serving as an AmeriCorps leader, Community Engagement Fellow, and being a leader with the Brockton Coalition for Education Justice. Angelica holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Bridgewater State University.
