Bethel A. Woappi, MPH

Manager, Capacity Building Assistance

Ms. Woappi is a Capacity Building Assistance Manager for the COVID-19 Community Grants Program and serves as a liaison to a cohort of community-based, faith-based, or other public health and health care organizations to assess needs and opportunities for capacity building support. Ms. Woappi has expertise in maternal substance use counselling, youth engagement, quality improvement and research. Prior to joining HRiA, she managed the study of a multilingual online global health course for graduate students from Canada and Colombia that seeks to integrate cross-cultural learning while facilitating more equitable access to higher education in lower-resource settings. Ms. Woappi has a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and International Development Studies and a Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto.
