Dr. Chen has extensive expertise in policy research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, community mobilization, and youth development. She engages diverse sectors to collaborate for population health improvement through research and assessment efforts. She also championed tobacco prevention throughout New England, mobilizing youth and adults to advocate for policy, systems and environmental change to make communities more tobacco-free. Previously, Dr. Chen conducted research on the built environment’s impact upon health with NYC’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and United Nations Children Fund. She has a DrPH from Boston University’s School of Public Health, and an MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
