Dr. Nelson has 20 years of experience developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating public health and health care programs for nonprofit and for-profit organizations as well as governmental agencies. Currently, she leads evaluation and assessment projects in diverse content areas across the country. Dr. Nelson has expertise developing and building consensus around common data measures, instruments and protocols across multisector partners and developing data transfer and capture systems. She is a consultant offering technical assistance services to MassHealth Accountable Care Organizations and Community Partners through the DSRIP program, and leads in the Community-Based Care and Social Determinants of Health domain. Dr. Nelson previously served as the Regional Director of Community Health for Steward Health Care and the Director of Community Services for the Care Coordination Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
