Kalice Allen is a Senior Coordinator for policy and advocacy at the HAVI, a fiscally-sponsored program at HRiA. In this role, she supports the development and implementation of state-level Medicaid policies to prevent community violence. She brings deep experience in community organizing and public health research, including research on gun violence and safety as a Senior Research Associate at Everytown for Gun Safety. Prior to this, Kalice examined the structural determinants in firearm disparities and place-based interventions in urban communities at the Research on Innovations for Safety and Equity (RISE) Lab at Boston University School of Public Health. Kalice earned a Master of Public Health degree specializing in health policy and law from Boston University School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from St. Catherine University.
