Paula Giraldo is a Program Associate on the Policy & Practice team at HRiA.
She joined HRiA in 2021 through the CDC’s Public Health Associate Program. She earned a bachelors in Biology with a minor in Public Health from Boston University in May 2021. Paula discovered her passion for public health in college, where she studied social determinants of health, eviction cases and housing conditions, and maternal health. Previously, she taught mental and sexual health to high school students in Boston. Paula also acts as Director of Education & Advocacy at the University Blood Initiative, a nonprofit startup focused on increasing the sustainability and equity of blood donation.
