Sara Martinez is a Project Manager for the Oregon Helpline at HRiA. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of a 24/7 helpline that operates in conjunction with Oregon Measure 110, a ballot measure that has decreased penalties for possessing small quantities of illegal drugs while expanding access to treatment and recovery services across the state. With extensive experience in the field of behavioral health and seven years of dedicated service within the Helpline industry, she is committed to implementing trauma-informed practices, which shape her approach to all of her projects. She possesses both professional skills and personal lived experience in supporting individuals on their paths towards recovery. Sara’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University. Based in the Portland Metro area, her passion lies in creating accessible support systems for communities struggling with substance use in Oregon.
