Tasha Whitaker is Community Health Worker (CHW) Network Manager for the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW), a fiscally sponsored program of HRiA. Her work has aimed to increase access to healthcare for vulnerable populations, health and wellness education and case management for individuals with chronic illness through strategic community engagement efforts. She is a active in CHW workforce development efforts including serving as a member of the the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Community Advisory Board and chair of the Communication and Outreach Committee. Tasha is also an active member of DFW CHW Association, Texas Association of Promotoras and Community Health Workers (TAPCHW).  She is the Founder of The CHW Crew Podcast and community, both of which highlight the work of community health workers around the globe and promote self-care for the industry. She is a graduate of Texas Women’s University.
