Toni Rivera serves as the Managing Director, Communities of Practice for the HAVI, a fiscally-sponsored program of HRiA. Ms. Rivera brings over twenty eight years of non-profit management experience and expertise working with underserved populations, at-risk children and families and advocating for social justice, equity and self- sufficiency across non-profit sectors. Ms. Rivera spent ten years at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin managing nationally recognized violence prevention and intervention program, Project Ujima. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of Families and Schools Together, an international education nonprofit working to nurture the inherit potential of children though strong relationships with families, schools and communities. Ms. Rivera received her Bachelor’s Degree in Community Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her Master’s in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. Her areas of expertise are program development and implementation, grant writing, nonprofit management and community engagement.
