Community Health

Health Resources in Action works with individuals or organizations committed to funding innovations that contribute to advancing health. Together, we work to identify a target niche and then implement a customized grant program that focuses data-informed priorities and evidence-based approaches to improve community health. Our community health investments team offers:

  • Assessment to identify existing resources, challenges, and gaps in desired impact area
  • Environmental scan and qualitative data analysis to inform grantmaking design and level of investment
  • Evaluation measures across grantmaking strategies
  • Training and technical assistance for applicants and grantees
  • Grants management services: developing application guidelines and RFPs, issue announcements, collecting and reviewing applications
  • Facilitation of review process that builds consensus for balanced portfolios
  • Record keeping and fiduciary responsibilities for active grant programming

  • MA COVID-19 Community Grants

    The goal of the MA COVID-19 Community Grants Program is to reduce COVID-19 infections, morbidity, and mortality among Asian, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other people of color in our hardest hit cities and towns, as well as to support education and awareness of vaccination efforts in Massachusetts.
