PCORI is seeking Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for Tier A projects through their Pipeline to Proposal (P2P) Awards Initiative. This program supports the development of research ideas and proposals designed by partnerships of patients, caregivers, and other healthcare stakeholders. The deadline for submitting a letter of inquiry is Thursday, April 20, 2017. Full details are available via the funding announcement: Pipeline to Proposal Awards Tier A Pre-Engagement/Community Projects.
The P2P Awards program supports health equity by meaningfully engaging and empowering those who may be historically underrepresented in health services research to contribute to the development of a research proposal. PCORI encourages those who are not usual candidates for research funding to apply for the Tier A funding. This program is intended to support those individuals and groups with critically important ideas, who may not have other opportunities for funding. To qualify for the Tier A funding, you must have demonstrated success in a past community-building project. Individuals or groups can receive this funding—no affiliation with a university or other organization is required. The purpose of the P2P Awards program is to help people form new collaborations with the goal of developing proposals for research with sound scientific rigor and robust patient engagement. PCORI is interested in research teams that include patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders, as well as researchers.
See the funding announcement and instructions for submissions at Pipeline to Proposal Awards Tier A Pre-Engagement/Community Projects. Please share this exciting opportunity with friends, colleagues and any other associates who may be interested.
