In June 2016, HRiA facilitated a “FAST,” rapid strategic planning process, for the Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts. This statewide body is a membership organization that provides a range of resources and networking opportunities to help participating members cultivate and sustain a culture of health and wellness for employees and their families. The all-day planning session, attended by approximately 40 professionals including board members, sponsors, and council members, was a resounding success because of the rigorous interactive process that engaged participant perspectives in a way that had not been realized previously. Outputs from the session included revised mission and vision statements; and goals, objectives, success indicators, and strategies for four priority areas identified through the data gathering process:
- Program Development
- Marketing & Communications
- Governance & Organization
- Finance & Sustainability
Following the success of this session, HRiA facilitated an all-day action planning session with the Board of Directors in July to outline specific activities, timelines, and responsibilities for plan implementation.
