HRiA led a cancer center community health needs assessment for the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida to strengthen efforts with the community and improving coordination and collaboration within the institution. This assessment aimed to understand the current and perceived needs, assets, and resources of the seven-county service area (Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota Counties) across the cancer continuum and identify ways in which community-based services can be more effectively delivered to the community. Activities included collection and analysis of existing social, economic and epidemiological data and qualitative data collection through focus groups and interviews with community residents and Moffitt staff.
