Alberte Altiné-Gibson is a Managing Director of Racial Equity Grantmaking at HRiA and serves as director for the Massachusetts Community Health and Healthy Aging Funds. Prior to joining HRiA, she worked at the Bowdoin Street Health Center (BSHC) where she was responsible for overseeing all community health related activities/projects addressing social determinants and grants management. She also worked for the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) as an Associate Director in the Division of Violence Prevention for 10 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University. She has over 20 years of experience in grant writing, evaluation, strategic planning, racial justice and health equity, equitable community engagement, program/curriculum development and implementation.
