Laurell Haapanen is a Contact Center Supervisor for the Helplines at HRiA. She has over 18 years of experience at various helplines throughout the US, supporting clients like the family and friends of potential elder abuse victims and New York residents experiencing psychological distress during the pandemic. She received her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Saybrook University and previously worked in community mental health care in the greater Seattle area.
