Dr. Holman has over 20 years of experience in public health, with a focus on building and sustaining effective organizations and diverse teams to accomplish public health goals. Throughout his career, he has helped stakeholders tackle complex public health challenges by developing and implementing high quality programs and solutions, building the capacity of community-based organizations to achieve their missions, and designing and conducting research and evaluations to drive decision making and program planning. Before joining HRiA in 2015, Dr. Holman was a Senior Consultant at John Snow, Inc. for nearly 10 years where he managed large, US-based public health projects and associated teams, with a focus on technical assistance and capacity building. He was also a Senior Lecturer at Lesley University where he taught world geography for 15 years, and has been an Executive Director and President of the Board for several Boston-area, non-profit organizations. Dr. Holman has a PhD and a Master of Arts in Geography from Clark University, and a Master of Environmental Science from Miami University.
